Paul Menard and the No. 27 Pittsburgh Paints/Menards team finished 13th in the Southern 500 under the lights of Darlington Raceway. Menard started the Saturday-night affair from the 14th position in front of an estimated crowd of 63,000 at the historic egg-shaped oval and fought to remain in the top 20 while experiencing handling issues that plagued the team throughout the course of the event. Paul Menard started the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway from the pole position and finished second in the first of seven NASCAR Nationwide Series appearances in the Rheem/Menards Chevrolet. Menard and the No. 33 team gave a commanding performance, both on track and in the pits, throughout the Friday night affair, leading for a total of 100 laps around the 1.5-mile speedway. (May 5, 2012) - Frank Kimmel and the No. 44 Ansell/Menards Toyota Camry continued to show strength at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend, after posting a podium finish in Salem the weekend prior. After rained-out practice and qualifying conditions Thursday led to a third-place starting position, Kimmel wheeled home in the seventh position at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 on Saturday afternoon.
