Current Residence: Borden, Ind.

In 2013 Frank Kimmel is looking to build on his career legacy in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards that includes 21 consecutive seasons in the top 10 in the standings, nine series championships, including eight consecutive seasons between 2000 and 2007 and 76 victories -- which places him second on ARCA's all-time wins list behind the legend Iggy Katona. In his second season with ThorSport Racing, Kimmel is once again paired with young crew chief Jeriod Prince fielding No. 44 Ansell/Menards Toyota Camrys operated out of the team's 100,000-square-foot shop in Sandusky, Ohio.
The native of Clarksville, Ind., began racing in street stock-style cars on a variety of midwestern short tracks -- a medium he continues to operate in to this day via the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Nationals series of races. Kimmel was the track champion at Charlestown (Ind.) Speedway in 1986-1987 and was the champion at Louisville (Ky.) Speedway in 1989. His father, Bill Kimmel Sr., is a three-time ARCA Racing Series winner.
Kimmel, who has ARCA Racing Series victories for five different owners, including himself (three), Larry Clement (66), Dan Falldorf (four), Duke Thorson (two) and Terry Shirley (one) is the all-time leading money winner in the series and was the 1992 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year and enters 2013 with 345 consecutive ARCA Racing Series starts and a record 10,624 laps led in his career.
He is ARCA’s all-time leading superspeedway lap leader and all-time leading superspeedway pole winner, and also finished as the second-place driver in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2008 and 2012. Kimmel’s 246 top-fives and 332 top-10 finishes in 448 career starts are records for active ARCA drivers, and his 42 career Menards Pole Awards presented by Ansell comprises a total one fewer than Katona’s record 43.
